Abstract

After the Spitak earthquake on December 7, 1988, the Bavrian earthquake on February 13, 22 hours
25 minutes local time, with a magnitude o f MS= 5.4 and an intensity at the epicenter o f 10=7 points, was the
second with such intensity, lasted quite a long time due to strong aftershocks.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located on the northwestern flank of the Spitak source zone.
